Gastroesophagel reflux disease (GER), reflux oesophagitis, inflammation of the oesophagus
More than 30% of the population suffer at least once in a month from gastroesophagel reflux (acid reflux, sour burps, air burping, difficulties in swallowing, laryngeal inflammations, inflammations of the bronchial tubes).

Due to an insufficient closure from the esophagus to the stomach (diaphragma hernia, hiatus hernia) sour content of the stomach can reflux into the esophagus (overweight, wrong nutrition). Also certain medications can cause an insufficient closure. As a result, inflammations, bottlenecks (stenosis), bleedings, difficulties in swallowing and also cancer can develop.
