Dysphagia may manifest itself in various ways. Principally, this may affect all above-mentioned organs and phases of swallowing or occur only for different food consistencies. The undesirable loss of weight and frequent chocking are the most important symptoms of dysphagia, which have to be taken seriously. A speech disorder can be a sign of limited preparation and transport of food in the mouth.
